Walter Bright wrote the Zortech C/C++ compiler which later became the Symantec C/C++ compiler and is now the Digital Mars C/C++ compiler. Bright is the founder of the Digital Mars company, and the creator of the D programming language and its reference compiler, DMD. As of January 2018, Bright continues to work on DMD.
