Other material that you find on D may use comparisons with other languages for teaching, and those that don't are covering higher level concepts which build on basic programming. The book Programming in D' by Ali Cehreli is an excellent resource for someone new to programming who wants to learn D. The book is a translation from Turkish, so if you prefer to read the book in its original language you can do so at D Programlama Dili Dersleri.
